The role emphasizes careful handling of biological materials, adherence to safety standards, and collaboration with the lab team to meet daily production goals. Experience is preferred, but a high school diploma is required for consideration.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience in a related field preferred.
• Comfortable handling biological specimens.
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Strong data entry and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to staging areas.
• Accurately identify and label specimens.
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Resolve and document any problem specimens.
