Job summary

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation and management of the research facility and scheduling of equipment usage.
• Negotiate and monitor equipment service contracts and warranties with vendors.
• Determine equipment needs, authorize purchases, and oversee installation in collaboration with facilities staff.
• Perform or coordinate preventive maintenance and repair of equipment; plan repairs as needed.
• Oversee space allocation among multiple labs and manage lab moves or renovations with facilities staff.
• Administer budgets with multiple funding sources and ensure compliance with policies.
• Direct staff, including supervision, hiring, promotions, and terminations; plan staffing needs.
