Job summary

Qualifications

• Five years of hospital laboratory work experience.
• ASCP certification, or equivalent, preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in chemical, physical, biological health science or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution, or CLIA-equivalent.
• Current and valid state license if required by the state.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operation of the section(s) as department lead.
• Provide consultative services to medical staff as Technical Consultant.
• Oversee the section/department quality management program and participate in performance improvement initiatives.
• Ensure accuracy of patient results prior to release or reporting.
• Maintain and update section policies and procedures.
