Job summary

The Medical Laboratory Scientist I role at Mass General Brigham’s North Shore Medical Center, Inc. site supports patient care under CLIA with duties in specimen processing, test performance and reporting results. On-site at 81 Highland Avenue, 40 hours weekly, night shift with differential and a $10,000 sign-on bonus discussed during interview.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences, Medical Technology, or Laboratory Sciences.
• 1–2 years of lab experience required.
• ASCP-BOC licensure preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Process specimens and perform tests per procedures.
• Report waived and non‑waived test results.
• Maintain quality control records and instrument calibrations.
• Identify issues affecting test performance and report to supervisors.
• Document corrective actions for deviations from performance specs.
• Coordinate with staff to maintain workflow and patient safety.
