Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years in a commercial or industrial setting, preferably metal manufacturing.
• Familiarity with safety protocols for equipment operation and lab/manufacturing environments.
• Experience with metal sample preparation and testing equipment for chemical analysis and materials characterization.
• Strong math, chemistry and metal powder nomenclature knowledge.
• Mechanical aptitude to diagnose minor equipment issues.
• Excellent communication and ability to work in a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Safety: perform sample prep using PPE and safety protocols.
• Sample Preparation: prepare metal test samples with lab equipment.
• General Equipment: maintain and service lab equipment.
• Product Issues: support troubleshooting of equipment issues.
• Procedures: help develop and refine prep processes.
• Improvement: support quality control and process improvements.
• Housekeeping: maintain clean lab and proper hazardous waste disposal.
