Job summary

Certified Group is seeking a Laboratory Technician to ensure proper receipt and handling of customer samples and to notify customers of issues detected during testing.

The role requires basic lab knowledge, a high school diploma, and experience in a commercial food-testing lab. Responsibilities include data entry, sample preparation, proper temperature control, and adherence to FSNS policies while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic knowledge of concepts and practices of a testing laboratory.
• 1+ year experience in a commercial food-testing laboratory or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Receive, prepare, and set-up samples for analysis.
• Enter data, log analyses, and approve samples using a LIMS database on a Windows workstation.
• Process and maintain client samples at correct temperatures.
• Segregate samples according to FSNS procedures.
• Assist with shipping of customer supplies including return coolers to customers.
• Communicate with clients for order clarifications as needed.
• Follow FSNS procedures and customer requirements.
