Job summary

Georgia Institute of Technology seeks a part-time laboratory operations assistant to support the operation and maintenance of an academic or research lab. You will perform analyses, operate equipment, and manage stock while collaborating with faculty, staff, and students.

Responsibilities include setting up and maintaining instruments, ordering supplies, preparing media, and assisting in demonstrations. High school diploma required; up to two years’ related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma.
• Up to two years of job related experience.

Responsibilities

• Setup, operate and maintain instruments and other equipment used in performing lab tests and experiments.
• Order supplies and materials as required; maintain records.
• Setup laboratory media/equipment for demonstrations.
• May clean instruments, glassware and other lab equipment.
• Prepare and process laboratory samples for use in assigned tests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
