Job summary

UT Health San Antonio is seeking a detail-oriented Research Technician I to support neuroscience research. Under supervision, you will assist with routine experiments, data collection and data interpretation, and help maintain lab equipment.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a basic science, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with MS Office. On-site schedule is 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday, in San Antonio, TX.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and thoroughness in tasks.
• Ability to organize work within schedule constraints.
• Ability to monitor multiple projects concurrently.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Lotus Notes/email software.

Responsibilities

• Provides routine technical assistance in research projects.
• Performs clerical and technical duties in a research or clinical lab.
• Assists investigators with studies, data collection, and equipment setup.
• Performs routine tests with direction from supervisor.
• Maintains general laboratory operations and schedule adherence.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
