Job summary

Danbury Hospital is seeking a Laboratory registration receptionist to perform patient registration, order entry, and reception duties in the Lab. You will obtain demographics, insurance details, and necessary signatures while handling phone orders and ensuring compliance.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in customer service or related roles, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid Connecticut driver’s license for travel to offsite locations.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in customer service/ receptionist/secretary/medical billing/ contact center/ Lab Assistant/ Administrative Assistant/ Patient Access.

Responsibilities

• Registration, order entry and reception functions for Laboratory.
• Obtain patient demographics, insurance coverage and signatures on authorizations and waivers of non-coverage.
• Handle phone orders and follow-up written physician orders.
• Fulfills all compliance responsibilities.
