Job summary

Tempus in Chicago is seeking a Lab Quality Supervisor to maintain CLIA/CAP/NYS-DOH/FDA compliance for our clinical lab. You will oversee QC and facilities teams, qualify reagents, maintain records, and coordinate with management to meet regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include updating SOPs, auditing lab processes, troubleshooting QC issues, and ensuring equipment maintenance and proper storage. A BS in medical technology or related field with 4+ years of experience is required; 7+ years

Qualifications

BS in medical technology or related field required; 4+ years clinical lab experience preferred
Highly organized with superb attention to detail and accuracy
Experience with FDA/CAP/CLIA regulated labs preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for internal/external partners

Responsibilities

Oversee QC and Facilities teams, provide direction and mentorship, approve timecards
Ensure reagents are qualified and properly labeled for clinical processing
Maintain reagent qualification records and QC of inventory
Monitor QC metrics and respond to trends; assist in troubleshooting errors
Update SOPs and maintain document control systems
Coordinate with other teams to meet CLIA/CAP/NYS-DOH/FDA requirements
Oversee QC trackers and maintain temperature-controlled storage and facilities
