Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Verbal and written communication skills to greet patients, answer phones and take messages.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to function in a Windows environment.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail in clerical tasks.
• Preferred completion of a medical terminology course.

Responsibilities

• Log in specimens and process specimens for reference labs.
• Chart and file documents and answer telephone inquiries.
• Pick up and deliver specimens as needed.
• Perform phlebotomy on outpatients in the first shift.
