Job summary

PIH Health is seeking a Lab Processing Clerk to support specimen processing, data entry, and routine laboratory clerical tasks. The role includes handling specimen receipt in the computer system, centrifuging samples, and printing lab reports while ensuring accurate documentation of critical results.

Responsibilities also include calling and documenting critical results, faxing patient results, answering calls, and assisting with patient registration as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of general lab test names is a plus.
• Six months of computer data processing and/or clerical experience preferred.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.

The Lab Processing Clerk performs specimen received in computer system, centrifuging specimens, laboratory test ordering, printing lab reports, calling and documenting critical result reporting, faxing patient results, answering telephone calls, patient registration, and other clerical duties as needed.
