Job summary

PIH Health in Whittier, CA is seeking a hospital-based clinical laboratory professional to perform all laboratory testing and deliver accurate results. The role includes oversight of laboratory assistants and training to ensure competency in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

Performs all laboratory testing and related duties within the assigned sections and provides accurate and timely results. Adheres to the assigned department's standard operating procedure, quality assurance policy, regulatory compliance, and hospital policies. Provides guidance and oversight for department laboratory assistants, including but not limited to conducting training and competency.

Required Skills

Required Experience

• Active California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license (CLS) or National Medical Technologist license (MT, ASCP) or MTE-Microbiology

Preferred

• Eighteen (18) months previous CLS experience in an acute care hospital
