Job summary

PIH Health invites applications for a Laboratory Assistant to support specimen procurement, accessioning, processing and testing under the supervision of a licensed CLS. The role includes providing phlebotomy (venipuncture and skin puncture) for inpatients and outpatients to ensure timely patient care.

This position contributes to PIH Health’s laboratory workflow within a community-focused hospital system and supports patient-centered services across affiliated facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience with specimen collection and processing preferred.
• Ability to follow supervisor instructions and laboratory procedures.

Responsibilities

The Laboratory Assistant performs specimen procurement, accessioning, processing and testing as assigned under the supervision of a licensed Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS). Provides phlebotomy (venipuncture and skin puncture) to inpatients and outpatients.
