Responsibilities

• Process specimens received in the computer system and prepare them for testing.

• Report and document critical results and fax patient results as needed.
• Answer telephone calls and assist with patient registration.
• Perform related clerical duties as needed.

The Lab Processing Clerk performs specimen receivedin computer system, centrifuging specimens, laboratory test ordering, printing lab reports, calling and documenting critical result reporting, faxing patient results, answering telephone calls, patient registration, and other clerical duties as needed.
