Job summary

PIH Health Downey Hospital in Downey, CA, seeks a Phlebotomy Technician to join the laboratory team. You will procure specimens, perform venipuncture and skin puncture, and assist with accessioning and processing under supervision.

This role requires current California Phlebotomy Certification, experience with blood collection across ages, and solid data entry and communication skills. Evening shifts are available in a collaborative hospital setting.

Qualifications

• CA Phlebotomy Certification required by California Business and Profession Codes
• Experience obtaining blood samples by venipuncture and skin puncture
• Experience with computer data entry and hospital documentation

Required Experience

Required:

• Two years phlebotomist or laboratory assistant with phlebotomy duties in an acute care hospital.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
