Job summary

The Cleveland Clinic Main Campus is seeking a Manager for Lab Pre Analytics - Phlebotomy to lead the pre-analytic lab area, oversee staffing, budgets, and quality initiatives. You will drive operational excellence across the department and collaborate with clinical teams to ensure timely, accurate specimen handling and processing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 3 years of clinical laboratory management or supervisory experience
• 5 years of laboratory experience
• OR Associate’s Degree, 4 years of supervisory or leadership experience, and 5 years of relative experience

Responsibilities

• Manage department personnel and operations including staffing, training, workflow analysis, and performance management.
• Monitor quality and financial performance; justify expense and revenue within departments.
• Prepare annual operating and capital budgets.
• Ensure compliance with government health regulations, CAP guidelines, quality management program requirements, and customer service standards.
• Develop and maintain performance improvement; recommend enhancements and cost saving strategies.
• Resolve interdepartmental issues to ensure consistency in quality, procedure, and policy application.
• Maintain instruments and equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications.
• Develop, monitor and implement programs to enhance customer service, develop skills and improve scope of service.
• Other duties as assigned
