Job summary

Piedmont Walton Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Phlebotomist to join its clinical laboratory team. You will perform sample processing, venipunctures, and obtain blood specimens in line with Piedmont policies and CLIA/OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Education: H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• Work Experience: No experience required; 1 year of phlebotomy experience preferred; EKG experience preferred; healthcare/clinical lab setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable standards.
• Performs venipunctures and obtains/prepares blood specimens per Piedmont policies and procedures.
• Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.
