1am-9:30am, rotating weekends

Primary Function

The Lab Phlebotomist performs phlebotomy and specimen collection, utilizing Lab Information System (LIS) and Hospital Information System (HIS) for order entry, result lookup, report generation, and specimen processing. Responsibilities include answering phones and forwarding issues appropriately.

Essential Job Functions

• Performs specimen collection procedures (nasal, oropharyngeal, venipuncture, etc.)
• Enters orders
• Performs accessioning, centrifuging, and aliquoting
• Generates reports
• Provides basic customer service

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy Certification (preferred)
• High School/GED (required)
• 1 year phlebotomy experience (preferred)
• Basic phlebotomy training (preferred)
