Location: St. Mary's Hospital

Full-time hours: 1am-9:30am, alternating weekends.

Summary of Primary Function

The Lab Phlebotomist performs phlebotomy and specimen collection, utilizing Lab Information System (LIS) and Hospital Information System (HIS) for various functions including order entry, result lookup, report generation, and specimen processing. They also handle phone inquiries and direct issues to appropriate departments.

Essential Job Functions

• Performs specimen collection procedures (nasal, oropharyngeal, venipuncture, etc.)
• Enters orders
• Performs accessioning, centrifuging, and aliquoting
• Generates reports
• Provides basic customer service

Qualifications

• High School/GED (required)
• Phlebotomy Certification (preferred)
• 1 year phlebotomy experience (preferred)
