Job summary

Bridgewater State University’s Watershed Access Lab (WAL) supports educators in addressing local water and environmental issues. As a CityLab/Watershed Access Lab Outreach Student Assistant, you will help administer and conduct day‑to‑day activities within the CityLab and Outreach Programs.

• Assist with setup, breakdown, and cleanup of materials for CityLab/Watershed Access Lab programs.
• Assist with instruction and equipment demonstration for middle and high school students participating in CityLab/Watershed Access Lab programs.

Eligibility Requirements

Must be a Bridgewater State University undergraduate student registered for a minimum of six credits for the Fall 2026 semester.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with middle and high school students or interest in working with this audience.
• Chemical preparation skills.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with gel electrophoresis, spectrophotometer, micropipetting, and the scientific method.
• Reliable.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Physical Demands

Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.

Compensation

Hourly Rate $16.25‑$17.75.
