Job summary

Bridgewater State University’s Watershed Access Lab outreach program seeks a student assistant to help administer CityLab and WAL activities. You will prepare materials, support demonstrations, and assist educators in classrooms for visiting K-12 students.

Responsibilities include scheduling support, material prep, and hands-on help during modules; candidates should be BSU undergraduates with work-study, capable of teamwork and independent work, and able to lift up to 20 pounds.

Qualifications

• BSU undergrad enrolled for ≥6 credits in Fall 2026.
• Must have a Work Study award.
• Preferred: experience with middle/high school students.
• Chemical preparation skills.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Experience with gel electrophoresis, spectrophotometer, micropipetting and the scientific method.
• Reliable; able to work independently or in a team.
• Physical ability to lift up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in administrative support for outreach programs via CityLab and WAL.
• Prepare materials/chemicals for CityLab/WAL programs.
• Set up, break down, and cleanup materials for programs.
• Assist with instruction and equipment demonstrations for students.
