Qualifications

• The role requires a high school diploma with 3+ years in chemical lab/engineering settings or equivalent.
• Experience maintaining safety documentation, SOPs, and inventory records.
• Familiarity with chemical inventory, hazardous waste handling, and lab procurement.

Responsibilities

• Manage chemical inventory and ensure safety compliance for handling, storage, and labeling.
• Assist with hazardous waste management and coordination with disposal vendors.
• Order, receive, organize, and restock lab supplies and consumables.
• Oversee compressed gas cylinder logistics and supplier communications.
• Support fabrication and maintenance of pilot-scale systems in a chem-engineering shop.
• Maintain documentation systems including SOPs, logs, and safety records.
• Assist onboarding and training of staff in lab safety and equipment use.
• Promote culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
