Keene State College in New Hampshire is seeking an enthusiastic lab technician to oversee the daily operation and maintenance of the departmental shared cell culture facility used for research and instructional purposes.

Responsibilities include ensuring biosafety compliance, maintaining inventories, training undergraduate students, preparing growth media, labeling and disposing of materials, and providing essential operational oversight to sustain a safe, compliant laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Biology or related field.
• Basic laboratory techniques including Daphnia and algae culture, growth media preparation, and daily lab notebook documentation.
• Protocol optimization experience is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Maintenance and feeding of Daphnia cultures and media preparation.
• Generation and maintenance of arsenic-generational Daphnia cultures.
• Generation and maintenance of chemostats and continuous algal cultures.
• Provide support for undergraduate research and training of students.
• Attend meetings with PI to update lab activities.
