Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: Undergraduate degree in Biology or related field.
• Basic Laboratory Techniques include Daphnia culture, algae culture, generational cultures, media prep, and daily lab documentation.
• Optimization of new laboratory protocols.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation and maintenance of the departmental shared cell culture facility.
• Ensure biosafety compliance and maintain inventories and SDS records.
• Train undergraduate students using facilities for research or coursework.
• Prepare growth media and stock solutions for cultures and algal systems.
• Dissect organs, perform nucleic acid extractions, and manage chemostat setups.
• Attend weekly PI meetings and assist with ongoing research projects.
