Job summary

Alumni Ventures seeks a Shift Manager for their LabOps team in Austin, Texas. The role involves supervising a shift of 5-10 individuals, ensuring operational standards and performance metrics are met while working in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have leadership experience in manufacturing or fulfillment, possess strong project management skills, and be able to communicate effectively across all levels. A bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or Operations Management is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-4 years of leadership experience in a fast-paced fulfillment center or regulated manufacturing.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Exceptional organizational skills and diligence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a shift of 5-10 individuals and ensure performance metrics are met.
• Plan and control operations in the Lab Operations department as needed.
• Monitor the queue of experiments to ensure timely protocol execution.
• Enforce facility policies, including safety and compliance.
