Job summary

AmSpec Services seeks a Lab Operations Manager to supervise laboratory personnel and coordinate analytical testing in a busy Greensboro facility. You will ensure data accuracy, train analysts, and act as a liaison between technicians, the Lab Manager, and Operations.

Responsibilities include reviewing QA/QC results, implementing corrective actions, supporting safety programs, and helping meet revenue and budget targets while maintaining compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of management in Petroleum Industry or Associate's degree with 5+ years experience.
• Strong managerial and interpersonal skills.
• Technical knowledge of laboratory operations and safety/training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule lab assignments to technicians and supervisors.
• Receive, compile, and verify data from lab testing; maintain accurate records for customer samples.
• Analyze QC results to ensure efficiency of processes and equipment.
• Provide training to laboratory analysts; liaise between technicians, Lab Manager, and Operations.
• Prepare corrective and preventative action reports for QA/QC and monitor non-conformances.
• Responsible for achieving revenue and budget goals and staffing levels.
• Perform other related duties as required.
• Safety Sensitive position requiring pre-employment, random and annual drug/alcohol testing.
