Job summary

PIH Health Downey and its laboratory operations are seeking an experienced Laboratory Operations Coordinator to assist the laboratory manager/director in daily operations across the assigned departments. You will help with process improvement, staff scheduling, interviews, performance reviews, coaching, training, and competency development and assessment.

In this role you will ensure department compliance with policy and regulatory standards and support Quality Assurance/Improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Assists the laboratory manager/director in day-to-day operations across the assigned department(s).
• Supports staff scheduling, interview processes, performance reviews, coaching, training and competency development.

Responsibilities

• Aids in process improvement and procedure revisions to meet quality standards.
• Monitors and supports staff development and performance management.
• Ensures staff readiness and adherence to policies and regulatory requirements.
