Job summary

Montefiore is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Supervisor to oversee daily laboratory operations, lead technologists and technicians, and ensure accuracy, quality, and on-time turnaround.

You will enforce CLIA, NYS, CAP, and OSHA standards, update procedures, manage staffing and inventory, and coordinate with the Medical Director for continuous improvement.

NYSED licensure required; ASCP certification preferred; minimum six years as a Medical Technologist with leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology, biology or chemistry required.
• NYSED license required; ASCP preferred.
• Minimum six years as a Medical Technologist.
• Leadership experience in a laboratory setting.
• Knowledge of Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Coagulation, Blood Banking, Urinalysis.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations to ensure quality and turnaround times.
• Review and update laboratory procedures with operations manager and lab director.
• Ensure compliance with accrediting and government agencies.
• Manage staff schedules and staff development.
• Troubleshoot equipment and LIS issues as needed.
