Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center’s Division of Clinical Pathology seeks a Chemistry Lab Supervisor for the Moses campus. You will oversee the 24/7 operation of the Chemistry Lab, manage personnel, and ensure quality patient care across sites.

Responsibilities include methodology development, standardization, and regulatory compliance. The role requires a NYS clinical laboratory technologist license and 4+ years bench experience with a Bachelor's degree (Masters preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required in science or related field; Masters preferred.
• NYs clinical laboratory technologist license required.
• Minimum 4 years bench experience with Bachelor's or 2 years with Masters; 10+ years preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the Moses Chemistry Lab across shifts.
• Develop and validate chemistry methodologies with lab directors.
• Standardize procedures across campuses for quality and consistency.
• Investigate adverse events, document findings, and implement corrective actions.
• Provide cross-site training and oversee QA/QC programs.
• Manage staffing, inventory, and cross-training of technologists.
• Engage with departments and customers to build strong relationships.
