Michigan Sugar Company in Bay City, MI is seeking a Lab Leader to oversee daily laboratory functions and staff across factory shifts. You will serve as the technical lead for testing, ensure accuracy of analyses, and maintain data integrity while supporting plant operations through troubleshooting and trend reporting.

The role requires familiarity with QA/QC programs, routine maintenance of instruments, and strong communication with supervision and the Factory Chemist.

Competenze

• High School diploma or GED required.
• One year of college chemistry required.
• Basic knowledge of chemistry and quality control methods.
• Proficient in computer use and data entry.

Mansioni

• Oversee all lab stations and ensure testing per SOPs and timelines.
• Trend lab data and investigate irregularities with shift supervisors.
• Manage inventory of chemicals, glassware, and standards; submit restock orders.
• Maintain QA/QC program for lab instrumentation and data accuracy.
• Train new laboratory personnel on techniques, reporting formats, PPE.
• Communicate results and process anomalies to supervision and factory chemist.
