Job summary

MIT Lincoln Laboratory is seeking a Laboratory Manager for the Tactical Satellite Communications Group. The role focuses on organizing and maintaining multiple laboratory spaces, ensuring safety, and coordinating with technical staff and leadership.

You will supervise technicians, oversee procurement and vendor relations, and support safety programs, audits, and training. Strong collaboration across departments is required to keep lab spaces efficient and compliant.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a two-year technical school in Electronics, Electro-Optical, Electro-Mechanical, or Software design or 5+ years of related lab management experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team, and delegate in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and configuration control tools such as GitHub.

Responsibilities

• Lead the organization and management of all group laboratory spaces in collaboration with technical staff and group leadership.
• Organize and manage warehousing and storage spaces on-site and off-site to optimize space utilization.
• Supervise group technicians, including assigning daily activities, reviewing work, and conducting annual performance reviews.
