Job summary

Intellian Technologies in Rockville, MD seeks an experienced Lab Manager to oversee a state-of-the-art design and development lab for Satcom hardware. You will ensure a safe, organized, and fully calibrated environment for engineering teams to design, prototype, and test next-generation satellite communication equipment.

The role covers asset tracking, calibration, inventory control, vendor coordination, and shipping.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 3+ years managing electronics, R&D, or RF test lab.

Responsibilities

• Catalog lab hardware, prototypes, and RF/digital test gear.
• Schedule calibration/repairs for VNAs, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes.
• Restock lab consumables and RF cables/connectors.
• Enforce ESD and cleanliness; maintain OSHA safety.
• Assist PCBA rework, soldering, and RF/power cabling prototyping.
• Manage purchase orders for lab tools, components, software licenses.
• Coordinate with equipment manufacturers and calibration labs.
• Handle domestic/international shipping inquiries.
• Monitor lab temperature/humidity for RF testing.
• Manage lab access and train engineers on equipment safety policies.
