coreNOC, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Lab Engineer to support a high-impact telecommunications and satellite communications program. This role will support the build, configuration, and testing of RF terminal prototypes within a controlled lab environment.

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on engineer with strong lab execution experience, capable of independently managing test environments, supporting environmental and system‑level testing, and producing high‑quality technical documentation. This position requires on‑site presence and close collaboration with cross‑functional engineering and customer teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build, configure, and test prototype electronic units for RF terminal systems
  • Manage and track procurement of required test equipment and lab materials
  • Architect, configure, and document lab test environments, including network configurations for terrestrial products
  • Conduct environmental testing, including vibration and thermal simulations
  • Develop and implement test automation solutions, including scripting and documentation
  • Provide hands‑on, system‑level test support at customer or lab premises
  • Maintain detailed test reports, configuration diagrams, interconnect diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Ensure compliance with all security, confidentiality, and access control protocols as required by the program
  • Perform additional responsibilities as defined by the customer or program leadership
  • Prototype Unit Delivery: RF terminal units built, configured, and delivered for testing
  • Test Equipment Procurement: Verification of material receipt and readiness
  • Lab Configuration Documentation: Complete test configuration, block diagrams, and interconnect documentation
  • Test Execution Reports: Documented results from environmental and system‑level testing
  • Automation Artifacts: Test scripts, capability documentation, and user guides
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
  • 3+ years of experience in lab engineering, RF systems, or test automation
  • Strong hands‑on experience with lab equipment, environmental chambers, and test scripting
  • Familiarity with network configuration and system integration
  • Experience working in DoD, aerospace, satellite, or telecommunications lab environments preferred
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced environment
