Atrium Health Cabarrus Lab is seeking a Lab Supervisor for a full-time role with a 40-hour workweek and flexible scheduling options. Lead a high-performing team, oversee daily operations, guide staff in testing procedures, and ensure quality and regulatory compliance in a busy clinical laboratory.

Eligible candidates will handle 5x8 or 4x10 shift patterns with early hours, hold MLS/MT certification (ASCP or equivalent), and possess a Bachelor's in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or Medical

Qualifications

• MLS or MT certification (ASCP or equivalent) is required/noted by the department.
• Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or Medical Technology or equivalent.
• Typically requires 3 years of experience in technical laboratory services and operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversees day-to-day department operations, provides direction, staff guidance, and ensures testing proficiency.
• Participates in projects to meet strategic initiatives with quantitative outcomes.
• Monitors budget compliance and analyzes department performance to address variances.
• Collaborates on performance improvement to optimize teammate engagement and satisfaction.
• Ensures compliance with quality, regulatory, accreditation, and competency standards.
• Coordinates orientation, training, and competency testing of staff and students; serves as a technical resource.
• Reviews laboratory results for quality, accuracy and validity, and implements corrective actions as needed.
• Recruits, coaches, and develops team; manages performance and advancement decisions.
• Adheres to Code of Ethical Conduct and applicable policies and laws.
