Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires Associate’s degree in a science or technical field.
• Minimum of 2 years of laboratory and/or research support experience.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is acceptable.
• Specific knowledge, certifications, and licensure will apply at the position level.

Responsibilities

• Establishes, implements, and monitors laboratory policies and procedures.
• Provides technical lab support by performing complex laboratory and research tasks.
• Applies expert knowledge of equipment construction and troubleshooting.
• Fabrication, machining, and other complex lab/experimental functions.
• Performs tests requiring a high degree of proficiency.
• Troubleshoots problems and recommends solutions.
• Evaluates experiment results using statistical analysis.
• May instruct a laboratory section in research techniques and procedures.
