University Health is seeking a MLS Coordinator in the Laboratory at UH Lakewood Medical Center, Kansas City, MO. The role supports the Director of Laboratory Operations and Department Supervisor with policy interpretation, corrective actions, and department staffing integrity.

The position emphasizes personnel management, budgetary discipline, and ensuring high-quality departmental testing within a hospital setting.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory/medical technology science with AMA approved training and MT(ASCP) certification; three years of relevant experience.
• Associate’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory/medical technology science with AMA approved training and MLT(ASCP) certification; three years of relevant experience.
• Previously qualified or could have qualified as a general supervisor prior to 2/29/92 under 42 CFR 493.1427 (3/14/90).

Mansioni

• Works with Director of Laboratory Operations and Department Supervisor to make recommendations, interpret policy, ensure employees follow department and hospital policy, initiate corrective action.
• Assist with management of personnel, maintaining fiscal integrity of the department, and actively participates in assuring quality of departmental testing.
