Job summary

University Health UH Lakewood Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri, is hiring an MLS Coordinator in Laboratory. The position is full-time with a 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM schedule and 40 hours per week, reporting to the Director of Laboratory Operations.

Responsibilities include policy interpretation, corrective actions, personnel management and ensuring the quality of departmental testing. Requires a science degree, AMA-approved training and MT(ASCP) certification with 3 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory/medical technology science and MT(ASCP) certification, three years experience in the respective area
• Associate’s degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory/medical technology science and MLT(ASCP) certification, three years experience in the respective area
• Previously qualified or could have qualified as a general supervisor prior to 2/29/92 under 42 CFR 493.1427 (3/14/90).
