Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Memphis, TN seeks a Lab Associate II to support laboratory operations in a non-licensed capacity. The role focuses on sample preparation, labeling, LIS data entry, and routine testing support under supervision.

Working Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, you will assist licensed personnel, manage reagents, and help maintain quality control and safety programs in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• 1 year of histopathology, cytology or other laboratory experience.
• 1 year of experience handling PHI and other patient information using LIS.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Science or Chemistry preferred; High School Diploma with 2-3 years lab experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and organizes samples for testing.
• Labels, handles, processes or prepares specimens and maintains storage.
• Identifies sample problems and assists in resolution under supervision.
• Prepares testing equipment and assists with preventive maintenance.
• Maintains reagents and records of materials; manages inventory.
• Performs data entry and LIS-related tasks; tallies workload data.
