Job summary

Certified Group in California is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our growing laboratory team. You will log customer samples into the LIMS system, split samples between departments, and ensure accuracy and timeliness in all tasks.

This role requires a high school diploma, aseptic technique, strong organizational and math skills, and the ability to stand for long periods. You’ll work under ISO 17025 and QC guidelines, supporting purchases, inventory, and general lab housekeeping.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Good aseptic technique and cross-contamination awareness.
• Strong organizational and arithmetic skills; able to work under deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities; able to train others.

Responsibilities

• Logging of customer samples into the LIMS system with accuracy.
• Split samples between departments and ensure timely processing.
• Maintain labeling, temperature controls, and storage conditions.
• Perform clerical reviews to ensure accuracy and ISO/QC adherence.
• Interact with clients, suppliers and vendors as required.
• Support inventory, purchasing, and general lab housekeeping.
