Job summary

BayCare Health System in Clearwater, FL, is seeking a full-time Medical Technologist/Lab support role at Morton Plant Hospital. This position assists technical staff, performs manual pretesting procedures, and works in a team to ensure accurate results.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, technical science or associate's degree, and 1 year in a related field (2 years preferred). Certifications (ASCP/SCYM, AMT, ASPT) are required; strong customer service and computer skills

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a related field required; 2 years preferred.
• Certification/licensure in clinical lab disciplines as listed.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical science preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the technical staff within the technical departments
• Handles manual pretesting procedures including waived testing
• Works in a team environment
• Demonstrates organizational, time management, analytical, delegation, written, and verbal skills
• Uses computer skills appropriate to position
• Must have customer service and interpersonal skills
• Identifies problems and implements solutions
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Shift Hours: 6:30am - 7:00pm
• Weekend Work: Every Other
