BayCare is seeking a Lab Medical Assistant II at Mease Countryside in Safety Harbor, FL. The role collects, processes and handles specimens for testing, coordinating with nursing staff and physicians.

You will perform phlebotomy procedures, refer complex samples to outside labs, and support a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced clinical setting. A high school diploma or related degree is required along with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifikationen

• 6 months phlebotomy, laboratory-related experience or related field.
• High School diploma or equivalent; or a Bachelor's degree in a related field in lieu of experience.
• Driver's license required.

Aufgaben

• Collect, receive and process inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing.
• Communicate with nursing regarding patient specimens.
• Refer specimens to outside laboratories.
• Interact with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab tests.
• Perform phlebotomy procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
