Job summary

ARSIEM Corporation is seeking a Lab Manager to support a government client in Arlington, VA. The role focuses on managing lab infrastructure, security practices, and VPN/VDI support for users, with emphasis on SOP development and incident response coordination.

The ideal candidate has a BS in a related field (or equivalent experience), 5+ years in system administration and lab management, experience with Linux/Unix & MacOS, VPNs, Citrix/VMware, and SIEM tools; must have an active Secret

Qualifications

• BS in CS/CE/CIS/CSE or related degree, or HS Diploma with 7+ years lab mgmt or sys admin experience.
• 5+ years of directly relevant system administration experience.
• Experience with Linux/Unix and MacOS.
• Experience with networking and VPNs.
• Ability to work collaboratively across physical locations.

Responsibilities

Position Overview

ARSIEM is looking for a Lab Manager. This position will support one of our Government clients in Arlington, VA.

Responsibilities

• Applying advanced analytical skills and technical resources at the tactical levels and implementing infrastructure solutions supporting command decision making and execution of mission requirements
• Support the implementation of new technologies and equipment in the lab environment.
• Assesses network topology and device configurations, identifying critical security concerns and providing security best practice recommendations
• Advises and provides insight on the development of lab standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies
• Provide support for Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) or Virtual Desktop Infrastructures (e.g., Citrix) to users.
• Provide support for macOS and iOS to users.
• Provide troubleshooting and triaging assistance for basic to intermediate technical challenges and user issues.
• Monitor and respond to users on IT helpdesk channels and phone lines
• Assist in the management of user accounts and resetting credentials
• Performing implementation of granular access control, and monitor systems for acceptable performance and user accessibility, establish back-ups, and monitor systems security
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex storage problems across the enterprise related to storage and replication strategies across local and wide area networks. Monitor channels for storage-related network and system issues and remediate them as they occur.

Minimum Qualifications

• BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering, or related degree; or HS Diploma and 7+ years of lab management or systems administration experience.
• 5+ years of directly relevant experience in system administration
• Experience with multiple operating systems, including Linux/Unix & MacOS
• Experience and knowledge of networking and network administration
• Experience with Virtual Private Networks (VPN)
• Experience with virtual desktops (Citrix, VMWare)
• Must be able to work collaboratively across physical locations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with SIEMs to include ELK and Splunk
• Virtualization, automation, and optimization
• Experience working with Jamf Pro, DEP, and Enterprise Connect implementation
• Experience with writing technical procedures and standard operating procedures

Desired Certifications

• CEH, Sec+, Network+, CCNA

Clearance Requirement

• Must have an active Secret clearance and be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance. Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability.

Referral Program

The bonus for this position is $3,500, and the referrer is eligible to receive the sum for any applicant we place within 12 months of referral. The bonus is paid after the referred employee reaches 6 months of employment.
