Kalamazoo Valley Community College is seeking a full-time Lab Manager for its Energy & Technical Career Training Program. This role involves coordinating equipment inspections, maintaining records, and supporting students by preparing materials and administering assessments.

If so, Kalamazoo Valley Community College may have the ideal opportunity for you. Kalamazoo Valley is seeking a full‑time Lab Manager in our Energy & Technical Career Training Program. This role coordinates equipment inspections and maintains records of results as well as testing of training equipment including towers, ModTruss structures, fall protection systems, electrical tools and instructional apparatus, overseeing routine maintenance as needed. The position also supports wind instructors by preparing materials and administering student assessments as instructional backfill.
Appropriate education, training, experience and talents are required. An example of this would be an associate degree in a related field and four (4) years of experience supporting students. Certifications specific to the program may be required upon hire.
The work is medium work which requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires mental acuity including the ability to make rational decisions through sound logic and deductive processes, the ability to express ideas by means of the spoken word and have close visual acuity.
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend hours are possible.
