Job summary

KMS Solutions, LLC is seeking a dedicated professional to join a team of engineers providing engineering and technical support to the NUWC Newport Code 25 Laboratory. You will troubleshoot hardware and software while coordinating with multiple programs in a Navy environment.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of Navy program system administrator experience, IAT Level II certification, and strong communication skills.

• IAT Level II Certification (Security+ or cybersecurity relevant)
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong containerization and virtualization experience

Position Summary

KMS Solutions is seeking a highly motivated individual to join a team of engineers and technicians providing engineering and technical support to the Code 25 Combat System, Department at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) in Newport RI.

Essential Functions

• Provide technical support to a team supporting a highly technical Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) Code 25 Laboratory.
• Troubleshooting and resolution of software and hardware

Required Education and Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in a relevant field providing program system administrator support to Navy Programs and customers.
• IAT Level II Certification (Security + or cybersecurity relevant IAT Level II)
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong Containerization and virtualization experience
• Understanding of RMF/ATO processes and the ability to navigate DADMs, eMASS, & BiTS for daily tasking

Preferred Education and Experience

• Associates degree or above in Cyber IT, or related field
• Experience specifically with undersea warfare systems.
• Three (3) plus years of experience providing program administrator support to Navy Programs and customers at NUWC Newport.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, to all levels of the customer and company leadership.
• Capable of effectively working and problem solving in both independent and team environments.
• Responsiveness, thoroughness, and attention to detail.

Additional Eligibility Requirements

Work Authorization/Security Clearance Requirement

• This position requires the ability to obtain and/or maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance and required access to all worksite locations. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and throughout employment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

The typical workday is eight hours in length. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, with concurrence from the supervisor. The employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and must account for the hours in a pay period to maintain full-time status. Limited telework is expected.

Telework:

• Telework may be allowed up to 20%.
• Subject to change based on business needs and customer requirements.

Travel:

• Ability to travel CONUS; potential to travel OCONUS.
• Travel up to 10% may be required.
