California Institute of Technology is seeking a Stockroom Assistant to coordinate shipping/receiving and stockroom functions for the Division of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. The role includes handling monthly purchasing charges and ordering non-inventory items.

Some hours may be required beyond standard shifts as needed. As an essential reporting position, you may be asked to work extra hours and report during emergencies.

Qualificações

• 2+ years of related work experience.
• Valid California Driver's License by date of hire and ability to deliver off campus when needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and walk between buildings on campus.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare incoming goods for delivery and match packing slips with POs.
• Deliver items to lab drop-off points across the Division.
• Handle online receiving and AP paperwork; maintain accurate records.
• Identify mis-shipments and coordinate returns/credits with vendors.
• Process outgoing shipments and prepare bills of lading.
• Coordinate laundry services and ensure proper lab coat marking.
• Maintain equipment loan logs and assist with events setup.
• Support Facilities Manager and participate in safety initiatives.
