Job summary

Pace Analytical in Lebanon, NJ is seeking an Equipment Specialist I - Instrument Specialist to perform maintenance, qualification and calibration of laboratory instrumentation, hardware, and software. You will provide guidance and collaborate to ensure accurate results and compliant documentation.

The role requires diagnosing equipment issues, coordinating vendor management, maintaining inventory, drafting procedures, and contributing to cross-functional projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science or engineering; AND 1–2 years of laboratory experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Interest in diagnosing and solving equipment instrumentation problems; knowledge of calibration and metrology standards; familiarity with 21 CFR Part 11 a plus.
• Computer applications and systems related to equipment and instrumentation; understanding applicable area laws, codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnosis, maintenance, calibration, qualification, troubleshooting, and repair of basic laboratory instrumentation.
• Coordinate and oversee vendor management for equipment maintenance and decommissioning as needed.
• Maintain inventory and scheduling systems for laboratory equipment; source consumables and repair parts.
• Draft and revise SOPs, calibration procedures, and qualification protocols.
• Provide technical guidance and present information to management and staff.
