Job summary

The Maintenance Engineer is a critical member of Zoetis Reference Laboratories in Louisville, KY, applying technical expertise to maintain lab instrumentation and equipment health for reliable performance. You will perform scheduled maintenance and support daily operations, including off-hours maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of working laboratory experience.
• 1+ years of scientific equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily, weekly, monthly equipment maintenance services for laboratory equipment.
• Collaborate with cross-departmental teams (IT, Procurement, Operations, QA) to facilitate system integration.
• Contribute to project timelines, progress reports, lessons learned and other project health assessments.
• Foster a positive culture of open communication, continuous improvement, and transparency by building relationships with lab colleagues.
• Attend and participate in team and project meetings.
• Support new laboratory sites with on-site support during go-live.
• Recommend and assist in refining & improving Operations Support functions.
• Perform and lead training exercises and sessions.
• Perform validation testing studies as part of laboratory expansion and other strategic priority projects
• Participate in and/or lead quality improvement or other strategic priority projects across the organization as appropriate.
