Job summary

LAUKOA is seeking an Environmental/Safety Coordinator to manage the EHS program at the FLETC onsite location, focusing on hazardous waste management and regulatory compliance for employees and subcontractors.

You will develop and maintain the Safety Program, conduct inspections and trainings, and ensure documentation and regulatory alignment with OSHA and contract requirements. The role requires strong communication and organizational skills and at least two years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience identifying, classifying, handling, labeling, storing hazardous waste.
• Working knowledge of hazardous waste management requirements and environmental regulations.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, including 29 CFR 1910.
• Ability to develop, implement, and administer a comprehensive workplace Safety Program.
• Ability to interpret and apply federal, state, local, and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities

• Identify, classify, handle, label, store, and package hazardous waste per regulatory requirements.
• Develop, implement, maintain, and monitor the company’s Safety Program.
• Coordinate safety inspections, trainings, and corrective actions.
• Investigate injuries and incidents and maintain documentation.
• Ensure subcontractors comply with safety and environmental requirements.
