Job summary

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a Laboratory General Supervisor to join our clinical team in Pelham, AL. The role focuses on high-complexity real-time PCR testing, specimen processing, and producing reliable results to support accurate diagnoses.

Qualifications

• Medical laboratory certification or CLIA-compliant Bachelor's degree in laboratory science.
• Two or more years of clinical laboratory experience, including molecular or PCR-based testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform CLIA high-complexity, real-time PCR testing in accordance with protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Collect, prepare, process, and analyze patient specimens.
• Document laboratory results in the EMR accurately.
• Perform quality control procedures, calibration, and maintenance on laboratory equipment.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards.
• Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to support efficient operations.
• Provide supervision for day-to-day test performance.
